Mrs. Ruby Kate Brewer Peterson passed away Thursday.

She was born in Troup County, Georgia on July 17, 1950, to the late Mr. George Dewey Brewer and Mrs. Virginia Drake Brewer. She was one of 11 children.

She united with New Beginning Baptist Church, graduated from Ethel Kight High School, Class of 1969, and retired from The Children’s Clinic.

Survivors include her children:  Tiffany Peterson and Douglas Peterson; three granddaughters; god-son Mr. Johndavious “Peanut” Hand; bonus-son, Randy Gates; two brothers:  Mr. Nathaniel Brewer, Orlando, Florida and Mr. Leon Brewer, LaGrange, Georgia; two sisters:  Mrs. Annie Maude Kelly, Brooklyn, New York and Mrs. Barbara White, LaGrange, Georgia; a host of very special devoted friends and family; devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at New Beginning Baptist Church.

The excellent care of Mrs. Peterson is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
