The Cavalier girls soccer team won a thriller over Galloway 1-0 on Wednesday.

With just 28 seconds left on the clock, Alora Vetsavong latched on to a cross from Kate McAteer and put the ball in the back of the net to give the Cavaliers a dramatic victory.

With the win the Cavaliers broke the school record for wins with their 14th on the season.

Raine Hunt was steller in goal as she made six saves to keep the clean sheet. This was the Cavaliers seventh clean sheet on the season.

With the victory the Cavaliers have now won three in a row and five of their last six to grab some momentum going into the home stretch of the regular season.

Callaway is 14-2 overall and 3-2 in region play as they head into the last three games of the regular season. The Cavaliers will have a week off due to spring break and will return to action in their last region game of the season on April 5 against Haralson County.
