1959 – 2022

Mr. Joseph Eugene “Joey” Wade, Sr., 62, of LaGrange, passed away on March 28, 2022. 

Mr. Wade was born on April 18, 1959, to Billy Joe Wade and Ellen Vonita Reese Wade.

He received a Technical Degree from West Georgia Technical College and worked at Advanced Machine Shop for over 18 years.

He was also a member of the Georgia Beekeeper’s Association and the Troup County Association of Beekeeper’s.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jamie Wade Friend (Michael); son, Joseph Eugene Wade, Jr. (Destine); sister, Julie Ann Wade Rosamond (the late Mike Rosamond); grandchildren, Brayson Friend, Brent Friend, Jesse Wade, Logan Lingerfelt, Mason Griffin and Little Joey Wade; nieces and nephew, Monica Jo Rosamond, Steven Rosamond (Amber) and Renee Duran (Jamie); numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Pastors Benjie Dukes and Jamie Duran officiating.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until funeral hour at the funeral home.

Family will gather at noon. Interment will follow the service in the chapel.
