There are plenty of fun Easter festivities to take part in LaGrange this weekend. From egg hunts to festivals and even a car show, there is something for everyone.

On Saturday in Downtown Hogansville, Cruisers for Christ will be hosting a classic car show at the Georgia Wholesale on Hwy 29 and at the parking lot across from the Royal Theatre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration for the car show is $20 and all funds will benefit Celebrate Recovery Hogansville. The event is free for spectators and children’s activities will available.

The LaGrange First United Methodist Church is hosting a free community Easter egg hunt at Southbend Park at 10 a.m. There will be more than 5,000 eggs hidden for children ages 11 and under plus prize baskets, candy, and activity stations at this family event. Rumor has it that the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance too.

Hogansville Police Department is also hosting an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at 10 a.m. It will be hosted at the Hogansville Elementary School football field. Egg donations can be dropped off at the Hogansville Police Department. Admission is free.

The Hogansville Public Library is partnering with the City of Hogansville and Eco-Action to host an Earth Day Every Day Bike Parade beginning at 10 a.m. Community members are welcome to gather at the Hogansville Public Library parking lot with bicycles, wagons, scooters, and skateboards for the parade. Everyone will decorate their rides with eco-messages and ride through Hogansville on a scheduled route. Materials will be provided, or you may bring your own decorations. This event is free and open to all community members. No registration is required.

The Troup High School Theatre Club will host an Easter Extravaganza on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this free event includes pictures with the Easter bunny, games and family activities and a small petting zoo for children. the first 250 toddlers to 12-year-olds to register at the event will get to participate in a free Easter egg hunt. Food trucks and Hawaiian shaved ice will be present at the event.

For those looking for a more mysterious weekend, join Pretty Good Books for their “MYSTERY! MURDER! MAYHEM!” author event on Saturday at 1 p.m. The event will host a panel of local authors including: Clay Bryant, cold case investigator and author of the bestselling true-crime thriller “Solving The West Georgia Murder Of Gwendolyn Moore: A Cry From The Well”, Mike Nemeth, author of the murder mystery “Parker’s Choice,” Angela McCrae, author of the mystery “Rubies & Revenge,” and C. Matthew Smith, author of the thrilling suspense novel “Twentymile.”

Queen Rae Lash Collection is also hosting an Easter pop-up shop and egg hunt on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at 210 Daniel St. There will be vendors, giveaways, candy bags and other refreshments.

Junior Service League will host fifth annual Taste of The Town event on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in a brand-new location. Taste of The Town will be in Historic Hillside this year spanning across Lincoln, Garfield, and Jefferson Streets. This event will have local food vendors, craftsmen, musicians, and much more. Admission is free and is open to all ages.
