Chattahoochee Riverkeeper has two upcoming “community cruise” outings happening this week.

The first will be the West Point Lake Jazz & Blues Cruise Thursday where the West Point Lake Floating Classroom will be the stage for an evening concert cruise with Jazz/Blues artist Mara Kaye, who will be accompanied by Blues musician Big Jon Atkinson. bThis event will be 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (EST). On Saturday, the West Point Lake Floating Classroom will host a family-friendly opportunity to see local wildlife. Participants will learn about the fish found in the lake, the animals that walk its shores and the birds of prey that circle in the skies above. Binoculars will be provided.  This community cruise will be led by Chattahoochee Riverkeeper staff and wildlife experts from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. This event will be 10 a.m. – noon (EST). Tickets are $25/adult and $15/youth. Reserve your spot online at www.chattahoochee.org/events
