A woman was shot while walking in the Hamilton Road area Saturday morning.

According to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department, officers responded to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in reference to a subject shot. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim informed officers that sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., she had been walking on Hamilton Road near Cedar Street when a black male wearing a mask shot her and robbed her of personal property.

There are no know suspects in this case as of Monday.
