The LaGrange Police Department is looking for a man who attempted to rob a man outside of Bank of America on Tuesday.

According to a press release from LPD, a man was at the bank, located at 200 Main Street, when he noticed the customer before him left his phone. The victim left the bank to let the customer know about his phone, but the armed robbery suspect — who is currently unidentified — followed him.

The suspect attempted to snatch a large amount of money from the victim. The suspect then went back into the bank for a female acquaintance and a young child, who had been in the bank with him.

The victim was injured and received medical attention. The suspect is identified as a Black male between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt and a black hat. His female acquaintance was a Black female, 20 to 30 years old with a stocky to heavy build, white shirt and black shorts. They fled the scene in a dark colored, four door vehicle.

The LPD has requested video from Bank of America, but at the time of the press release had not received it.
