Troup High School is hosting a “We Heart the Arts” Festival on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festival will feature a number of activities including a car show, a silent auction, a pet show, food trucks, and several arts and crafts vendors.

Noel Jordan, Troup High School’s Creative Drama teacher and coordinator of the festival, said that she hoped that the event would get the community involved in the arts.

“We work really hard on our shows and events, and we want the community to see what we are doing,” said Jordan.

Furthermore, Jordan hopes that the event will get the students out in the community.

“It gives the students the opportunity to experience some leadership and to go out into the community to tell people what they are doing. I want them to feel more comfortable with the community,” said Jordan.

Admission to the festival is $1 and can be paid upon arrival.

For those interested in setting up a booth, you can register here for $15. All proceeds will go to supporting the Troup High Drama program and funding next year’s festival.
