On Saturday, 270 students received their diplomas and graduated from LaGrange High School.

LaGrange High’s 2022 Salutatorian Chloe Crockett congratulated her fellow classmates and reflected on her time at LaGrange High School.

“As a class, we have gone through many challenges, including a pandemic and the unexpected loss of two of our classmates and a teacher,” Crockett said. “We have grown together as a family, and I am so proud of all of you.”

Crockett thanked the family, friends, and mentors who helped to guide her and the class throughout their time at LHS.

“Without all of your support, we would not have been able to reach the goals we set for ourselves,” Crockett said.

The class Valedictorian, Ka’various Perry, also gave his thanks to those who had supported him at the start of his speech.

“At this point in the speech, most would thank teachers, administrators, and coaches who had impacted their life, ” said Perry, “but that list is so long that I thought it would be better to just give a huge thank you to everyone in the Granger family who took time to coach me through this crazy thing called high school.”

Perry continued his speech by reminding his classmates that graduation wasn’t the end of their journey but a new beginning.

“This isn’t the end of your play, your run, your work, or your studying. It is simply the beginning of a bigger contest, and that contest is called life,” Perry said.
