With a bright and sunny weekend ahead, there’s plenty to do outside and inside in LaGrange and its neighboring cities.

Start the weekend early at the Old Crow Medicine Show Friday night. This alternative country band originated in Nashville, Tennessee and is known for hits like ‘Big Time in the Jungle,” “Poor Man” and “Tear It Down.” Tickets are available at https://www.sweetlandamp.com/events/old-crow-medicine-show/.

Get an early start Saturday by visiting Market on Main in downtown LaGrange on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors will have fruits, vegetables, homemade jams, jellies and baked goods, crafts and much more for purchase.

Pretty Good Books will host Stories for Young Hearts & Minds from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday where four guest authors will share their stories with visitors. This event features LaGrange author Judy Gilliam, Woodstock author Robin Adams, Newnan author Beverly Reichman and Hogansville author Ann Rhodes. This is a free event and is open to children of all ages and their parents.

Hogansville will have its own downtown market Saturday as well. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Askew Park, vendors will have an assortment of produce, baked goods and more. This market will return June 25, July 9 and July 25.

The Hogansville Public Library will host a Teen/Adult Movie Day at 3 p.m. This program is free and available to all teens (middle and high school) and adult community members. No library card or registration is required. Due to copyright and licensing constraints, see thrl.org/events for movie titles and ratings.

On Sunday, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Kim Richey will be performing with guitarist Sam Hawksley 7:30 p.m. at Pure Life Studios.  The concert will be held at Pure Life House of Music, an acoustic listening room, located at 206 Clark St. in the Hillside Community of LaGrange.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. The concert is $20 for advanced tickets and $25 cash at the door.
