Visitors to Wednesday’s Story Time at the Hogansville Public Library received a visit from a wild bunch of furry guests from the Iron P. Homestead Zoo.
Zookeepers Hailey Jackson and “MeeMaw” taught the group about the various animals from its nursery, including Aladdin the parrot, an African Spurred tortoise named Captain, Bruno the boa constrictor and more.
“MeeMaw” also showed children that snakes aren’t the scary creatures everyone thinks they are by letting them feel Bruno’s sleek scales.
