1952 – 2022

Deacon James Henry “Jimmy” Dunson passed away Wednesday.

He was born June 29, 1952, to the late Charlie Frank Dunson, Sr. and Fannie Mary Jenkins Dunson in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama.

He graduated from Randolph County Training School, attended Southern Union; and retired from Hillside Plant. Jimmy served faithfully at Eastside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; daughter, Adrienne; grandson, Cameron; siblings:  Barbara O’Hara, Leroy (Claranett) Dunson, and Debra (Mayfield) Royston, all of Roanoke, Alabama; sisters-in-law:  Luneda Billingslea, Lanett, Alabama; Trudye (Lionel) Johnson, West  Point, Georgia; Rose Wood, Lanett, Alabama; and Alesia (Marshall) Lyles, Opelika, Alabama; brothers-in-law:  John (Karolyn) Morgan, Jr., Birmingham, Alabama; and Geryl (China) Morgan, Lanett, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church.
