1929- 2022

William (Billy, Bill) Sharp – A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend – passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Melbourne, Florida, on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

Bill was born on Nov.19, 1929. 

He graduated from LaGrange High School in LaGrange, Georgia, in 1947. He was married to Mary Alice Robinson Sharp for 66 years, who had previously passed in 2017. He joined the Navy during the Korean war and served on CV47, USS Philippine. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he hired on with Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia. He supported the C-130 in Field Service and traveled the world during his career. Bill graduated from Georgia State College with a bachelor’s degree in business. Through the years, Bill enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family. He took pride in his garden for many years. Bill is survived by his son, Perry Sharp, his daughter-in-law, Lori Sharp, his grandson, Quinn Sharp, and his sister, Jay Funk.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Please join the family at the grave and keep them in your thoughts and prayers at this challenging time.
