Funeral services for Helen Jane Norred, 83, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. CST at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Yarbrough and Bro. Rusty Norred officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST on Friday, July 22, 2022.

Mrs. Norred passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Wellstar West GeorgiaMedical Center in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas W. “Buck” Norred of Roanoke; one daughter, Cindy Knight (Mark) of LaGrange, Georgia; one son, Russell Norred (Karen) of Wadley; six grandchildren, Natalie (Billy) Mixon, Nathan Knight, Amy Norred, Robin (David) Sweat, Rusty (Haley) Norred, and Erin (Chad) Milstead; six great-grandchildren; one sister, SueEllen Diamond of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Norred, Nathan Knight, Chad Milstead, David Sweat, Billy Mixon, and George Diamond.

A Chambers County native, Mrs. Norred was born on Sept. 8, 1938, the daughter of George Glennis and Clara Beulah Heflin Smith.  She was a member of Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and worked as a seamstress.  Mrs. Norred was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Mack Diamond.
