For the first time in a while the average price of gas in Troup County is teetering on the $4 mark. That puts Troup among the higher prices in the state still but well below the national average of $4.35.

Fuel in Troup is still about 12 cents higher than the average price of gas in Georgia.

Down toward Muscogee County, we even saw gas near the $3.50 range this weekend, which is hopefully a sign of things to come for our area.

There are many factors that go into fuel prices, such as the cost of crude oil and the war in Ukraine.

Regardless of the reasoning, we know we’re all tired of seeing the high prices at the pump and how it’s impacting our day to day lives.

We’d like to hear from you. What’s the most you’ve paid for fuel in the last month? What’s the least amount? Do you think we’re going to see prices drop down below $3 ever again or is this going to continue forever?
