Two people were shot on Ware Street in Hogansville, according to a press release from the Hogansville Police Department.

At approximately 4:18 a.m., officers were called to the scene and found two females lying in the roadway. HPD officers administered first aid. Fire and EMS were called to the scene and continued aid on the scene. Both victims were taken to hospitals for treatment. Investigators have closed Ware Street to through traffic until further notice.

The HPD is asking everyone to avoid the area.
