The Cozy Closet at Oak Grove Church in Pine Mountain will return this weekend for people in need of clothing.

The free clothing bank will be open to the community this Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The church runs the clothing closet, which offers free clothing of all types for those in in need, no questions asked.

The program was originally created by youth at the church several years ago, but they have since moved onto college or elsewhere, so church members have taken over the closet, volunteer Ellen Parkhurst said.

The clothing bank is open the second Saturday of each month.

Parkhurst noted that they have an abundance of clothes for all genders and ages, including clothing for babies and back-to-school clothes.

There’s always new clothing coming through, she said.

The clothes closet has an abundance of items, all free, with no need to register. All sizes are included, even for “hard to fit” people.

The clothing bank is particularly helpful to families in need of clothing and struggling new parents.

“All we ask is that these donations go to people in need,” Parkhurst said.

The Cozy Closet at Oak Grove Church is located at 1264 Oak Grove Road in Pine Mountain, next door to the Wild Animal Safari.
