Perfect timing for a perfect game. Kaitlyn Williams unleashed on the McNair batters to pitch her way to Callaway’s first region win of the year. The Cavaliers bats were scorching in the 25-0 win, but it was Williams stealing the headlines.

She pitched three innings and earned six strikeouts as she kept the McNair offense at bay.

The Cavaliers’ offense gave her a lot to work with as she stepped onto the mound in the bottom of the first inning with a 16-0 lead. She helped her own cause from the plate as she went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Not only did she pitch a perfect game, but she was the one of most effective offensive players for the Cavaliers in the game as well.

The Cavaliers added four runs in the second and another five in the third to close out the game.

Jada Swanson had herself a field day as she went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored. Swanson legged out an inside the park home run in the first inning to big plaudits from her coach and teammates.

There were stellar performances abound for the Cavalier offense with Mya Lawton being another one with her 3-for-3, three runs scored and two RBI stat line. Savannah Rice came up big as well with a 1-for-2 day with three RBIs and two runs scored. Kiera Trone and Emma Bryan had an RBI apiece.

Callaway improves to 3-7 overall and 1-0 in region play. The Cavaliers will be right back to work on Wednesday against Landmark Christian School in a big region matchup. This will be the first Callaway home game since Aug. 16.
