Minister Brenda Joyce Gilbert Harris passed away Friday.

She was born Mar. 17, 1951, to the late Buck Hannon Gilbert and Gladys Scovil Gilbert in Columbus, Georgia.

Brenda was employed by Callaway Gardens for thirty plus years. In addition, she served as a Private Duty Nurse; and united with Smith Chapel UM Church.

Survivors include three daughters:  Glenda Leonard, Pine Mountain, Georgia, Brenda (William, Jr.) Spratling, LaGrange, Georgia; and Amanda Harris, LaGrange, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Vasser; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers:  Benjamin Jones and Gregory Jones, both of Pine Mountain, Georgia; two sisters-in-law:  Dorothy E. Moss, Pine Mountain, Georgia; and Jessie M. Harris, LaGrange, Georgia; one aunt, Nettie Pearl Boykin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Smith Chapel UM Church.
