Christopher Alan Roman, Sr., 69, of LaGrange, Georgia was beckoned to his eternal home on Sept. 11, 2022 from Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Chris as he was affectionately known, was born Dec. 25, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Louis A. Roman and Phyllis McConaghy Roman.
He was a Global Business Manager and retired from Milliken and Contec.
Chris loved his Lord, Jesus Christ, and sought to faithfully serve Him. Every Sunday he joyfully used his musical talents to serve on the praise team as the drummer at Clearview Chapel. He also served God’s Kingdom by participating in multiple short term mission trips to Costa Rica and Honduras. He was a man of great faith who connected with God through consistent worship, Bible reading, and prayer.
Chris was an avid golfer and fisherman, always enjoying his boat and the lake life. He was a mentor to many and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Brenda Scott Roman; daughters, Corrie Roman and Kelly (Josiah) Sweet; son, Christopher (Sara) Roman Jr.; grandchildren, JoJo Sweet, Paxton Sweet and Christopher “Calan” Roman III; sister, Laura Lou Roman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tony and Tammy Swink; nieces, Savannah Swink and Cecelia Swink; nephews, Derek Oakey, Stephen (Charity) Oakey and Tommy Swink; father-in-law, Joe Scott Jr.; several other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 3 P.M.Sat. Sept. 17, 2022 at First Baptist Church on the Square with Rev. Dr. Charlie Metcalf officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. prior to the service at First Baptist Church on the Square.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Clearview Chapel in memory of Chris Roman.
