Calumet Center for Healing and Attachment (CCHA) is hosting an open house on Friday at the Thyme Away Campus of New Ventures.

Calumet Center for Healing and Attachment merged with New Ventures in 2021 and moved into the former Thyme Away Bed and Breakfast on Greenville Street after the B&B was donated by Bill and Karen Scarborough.

New Ventures currently serves as the parent organization and CCHA operates as a division of New Ventures out of the new Thyme Away Campus.

CCHA Program Director Kelly Camp said they are hosting the open house inviting the public in to show community leaders the services they offer.

CCHA is a non-profit organization that specializes in mental health services with a residential program for women who are in recovery for abuse and trauma. CCHA offers a three to 12-month recovery program that focuses on women with trauma history who suffer from substance use disorders, mental disorders and other co-occurring disorders.

Camp said the open house will give community leaders better insight on the services that CCHA offers so that they can better direct women from the community who need help.

The goal of CCHA is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for women and children in need of recovery and support services for trauma, mental illness and substance abuse.

The center also offers outpatient mental health services for everyone, but the residential program is only for women.

The services provided by CCHA are completely free for outpatients and for residential patients.

The open house will be held on Friday, Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CCHA Thyme Away Campus at 508 Greenville Street in LaGrange.
