On September 17, 2022, at approximately 1:10 p.m., LaGrange Police Department Patrol Officers responded to 119 Old Airport Road, apartment 181, LaGrange, Georgia in reference to a 2 year old that had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the 2 year old had been accidentally shot by another child that lived in the home. The 2 year old child was transported to Egleston Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for treatment. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Section responded to the location and began an investigation.
