Troup basketball was back on the court on Saturday.

The Tigers played one game against new region foe Starr’s Mill and took a tight 36-33 loss. “Bop” Tucker had 10 points and four rebounds and initiated the Tiger offense. DeJaylen Campbell led the Tigers with 11 points. Torreion Delaney had five points, a rebound and flashed quality defense by coming down with three steals.

“Overall, the boys looked good,” Troup coach Jairo Gay said. “We battled back from 10 down with three minutes left in the game and came back within two despite missing two of our key players today. All-in-all it was another promising day for the Tigers.”
