Martha Upton Loyd, (81), of Pine Mountain, Georgia passed away on Sept. 22, 2022. 

She was born in LaGrange, Georgia  on Aug. 25, 1941, Daughter of Grady Leo Taylor and Pauline Taylor of LaGrange. 

She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1959 and later worked at Mountville Mills, Inc. before her retirement. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Merrell Upton and her second husband, Kenneth Loyd.

She is survived by her daughter, Marleia Upton Hand (David); siblings, Phil Taylor (Susan), and Dana Stephens of LaGrange, Georgia; two grandchildren, Madison and Bryson Hand of Jacksonville, Florida.

The funeral will be held on Thur. Sept. 23, 2022 at 3 P.M. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 P.M. until service time on Thurs. 

 The committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.
