UPDATE: Using video from a location across from the Dollar General, Troup County Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to determine a vehicle they believe the suspect drove to the scene of a robbery at Dollar General Monday morning. It appears to be a silver 4 door Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck. If this truck looks familiar, call 706-883-1616 or Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who robbed Dollar General on Pyne Road Monday morning just before 10 a.m.

TCSO Public Information Officer Stewart Smith said the suspect was described as a Black male wearing all black clothing and a Puma hoodie with white writing.

The suspect took an unknown amount of money out of the registers. A K9 from the LaGrange Police Department is on the scene.

Smith confirmed that at least two gunshots were fired inside the store. No injuries were reported.
