LaGrange College to host homecoming this week

LaGrange College is welcoming the public to its homecoming celebration Oct. 6-9.

Attendees can take part in events like the Flashback Friday party and the Panther football game.

“Homecoming is a time of celebration for alumni, faculty and staff, students and the LaGrange community,” said Martha Pirkle, Director of Alumni and Community Relations. “We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities.”

Starting on Thursday, LaGrange College Theatre will present “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” at 6 p.m. at Price Theater. Other performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

On Friday evening, the festivities will move downtown for the Flashback Friday party at 6:30 p.m. at Overlook Plaza, next to Wild Leap Brewing Company. The Reasons Why band, featuring several LaGrange College alumni, will return to provide music, while food trucks and cornhole will be onsite.

Saturday events include open houses of the Nursing and Education departments at West Side and the Lamar Dodd Art Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Red and Black Reunion Row with a registration tent that will be in the Callaway Auditorium parking lot from 10 a.m. until the end of halftime. The Panther football team will take on Maryville at 1 p.m. at Callaway Stadium. Halftime will feature the announcement of the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen.
