Mrs. Thelma Jean Waldrop Harris, (89), of LaGrange, passed away on Nov. 28, 2022. 

Mrs. Harris was born on Dec. 29, 1932 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late Willis Waldrop and Willie Heard Waldrop. 

She worked many years at Mansour’s Department Store where she was a fixture at the Clinique Section and make-up counter. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, George Waldrop and Jewel Poole, grandsons, Robert John Holloway and Poitevent Golden Smith, III and one great-grandson.

Survivors include her son, Roosevelt J. Holloway (Kay Bennett); daughter, Patricia Gail Harris; brother, James Waldrop; sisters, Faye Harris and Brenda Tongel (Mike); grandchildren, Brenda Jones and Brian Holloway; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Thurs. Dec. 1, 2022 at 1 P.M. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Pastor Max McCord officiating. 

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Wedowee, Alabama.  

Family will receive friends on Thurs. at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
