Between everyone who works in our office, we’ve seen Christmas parades in places all over the United States.

We’ve been to holiday parades in Florida, Georgia and Missouri. All over the South.

And we’ve got to tell you — the LaGrange Christmas parade is pretty good. For a city the size of LaGrange, it’s extremely impressive. It’s one of our favorite events of the year. Katie Van Schoor and Alton West always commentate the parade — Macy’s Thanksgiving Day style — on LGTV. If you can’t make the parade, it’s always fun to watch it that way, but we certainly hope you make it out.

We want to thank everyone who makes the parade what it is every year.

That starts with the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, which plans this event months  out. Warren Adams, who directs the parade, gives back each year by making sure everything runs smoothly on event day.

Santa Claus makes an appearance around the square, giving area children a chance to tell him what they want for Christmas.

The theme this year is Santa’s Little Helpers, giving the parade a chance to honor people like Patty Youngblood, who has given back to this community in so many ways over the years.

We hope to see you there.
