Troup County is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. ET Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

The threats included tornadoes, quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour. The storm systems approaching Georgia have already prompted several tornado warnings in Alabama.
