Mrs. Jean Spates Railey, (92), of LaGrange, passed away on Jan. 4, 2023. 

Mrs. Railey was born on March 1, 1930 in New Site, Alabama to the late Leon Spates and Della Langford Spates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Railey, daughter, Annette Railey, grandson, Alan Railey, two brothers and three sisters.

 Survivors include her children, Sandra Wilkinson of Villa Rica, Kenneth Railey of LaGrange, Gary Railey (Vanessa) of Greer, South Carolina and Kim Thrower (Tony) of Liberty, South Carolina; grandchildren, Michele Lee (Chuck), Janet Thompson, Chasity Harrison, Josh Garrison (Kara) and Jake Garrison; seven great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at 1 P.M. at the Meadoway Gardens with Rev. Andy Buchanan officiating. 

Family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home beginning at Noon.
