Mr. Thomas Edward Ballard, (96), of LaGrange, Georgia passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Ballard was born Feb. 15, 1926, in LaGrange, Georgia, son of the late William and Willie Alene Ballard.  He was Methodist by faith and was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving in World War II.  

Mr. Ballard was the owner of Ballard Grocery Store before retiring.

Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife of 77 years, Mildred Inez Ballard; daughters, Sandra B. Keeble and Debra B. Dokken; granddaughter, Morgan Keeble; and a nephew, Jerome McClendon (Kathy).

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023,  in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, Georgia.  

Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
