Mr. Walter Dowell, Sr. passed away Thursday.

He was born May 23, 1941 to the late Walter and Annie Moss Dowell in LaGrange, Georgia.

Walter was previously employed by Milliken and Company for fifty years, until retirement.

Survivors include three sons:  Scottie Dowell, Walter (Sheila) Dowell, Jr. and Christopher Dowell; two daughters:  Priscilla Ewing and Vivian (Clarence) Harris; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister-in-law, Lillie Ruth McCauley; one goddaughter, Gretta Porter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.

The graveside service will be Monday at 1 P.M. at Southview Cemetery. The excellent care of Mr. Dowell is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
