The LaGrange girls basketball team went on the road to Starr’s Mill on Friday and came back with a 41-26 loss.

LaGrange’s offense struggled in the first half, putting up four total points — all in the first quarter. The Grangers trailed by 13 at halftime and were unable to mount any sort of rally in the second half despite an uptick in offensive production.

The Grangers scored 22 points in the second half but were still outscored by four points in the half.

Corriah Williams led the Grangers in scoring with eight points — all in the second half. She connected on two 3-pointers in the game. Brittney Heard, Madisyn Baker, and Nina Brooks all scored four points. Muffin Pope, Torria Trammell and Ta’Niya Taylor scored two points apiece to round out the scoring for the Grangers.

LaGrange fell to 6-16 overall and 3-9 in region play. The Grangers return to action next Tuesday against Riverdale at home.
