A 15-year-old was shot near Handley Street on Saturday night, according to a press release from the LaGrange Police Department.

The LPD responded to the scene at approximately 7:47 p.m. and located a male juvenile near 14 Habersham Drive with a gunshot wound in his back. Officers began medical treatment until an ambulance arrived. The victim was taken to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center and was later transferred to Grady Hospital in Atlanta.

The Criminal Investigations Section is currently conducting an investigation into this incident. No suspects have been identified at this time.
