The LaGrange Academy girls basketball team earned a monster 76 -14 win on Tuesday in their penultimate game of the season. It was an extra special night for the Warriors who also got to celebrate their two seniors — Kayla McBride and Tesia Garrett-Hammett — on senior night.

McBride is a lifelong Warrior who is a true multi-sport athlete. She is a two-time all-region player and captain for the team. She helped lead the Warriors to a state title in 2021.

Garrett-Hammett is in the middle of her first and last season at LaGrange Academy. She has fit in like she went there her whole life. She has been playing basketball since she was six years old and is also a member of the varsity cheer team at LaGrange Academy.

Garrett-Hammet finished with nine points while McBride had eight.

Once again it was Jazmin Thornton finding her way to the basket with ease all night. She finished with a game-high 31 points and only scored seven points in the second half.

Anna Beth Kinnersley has kept up her recent uptick in offense and finished the game with 14 points. Marley Hand scored six to round out the scoring for the Warriors.

LaGrange Academy improved to 16-1 overall and 4-0 in region play. The Warriors wrap the regular season on Friday against Harvester Christian at home.
