Mrs. Wanda Louise Rowlett, (83), of Greenville, left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb. 6, 2023.

Wanda was born Sept. 20, 1939, in Blackey, Virginia to her beloved mother, Edna Stacy Mitchell and father, Everett Edgar Mitchell, and married her long-time friend and love, Billy Joe Rowlett on March 15, 1957.

She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but drove a coal truck for a short time in Grundy, Virginia, and then decided to become a certified draftsman in 1980, working for Daniel Radiator in LaGrange, drawing radiator parts by hand until the company closed and moved its operation overseas.

Wanda loved to garden, canning much of her bounty to feed her family. She loved cooking for them and spending time with them at her home in Greenville.

She also loved to travel back to her childhood home in Virginia to visit with and love on her family there.

She loved the Lord and spent a lot of her time at church and reading the bible. She was a previous member of Union Baptist Church in Hogansville and was a current member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church in LaGrange. She also loved to sit on her front porch watching the hummingbirds.

She had feeders out all the time to attract her sweet feathered friends.

Wanda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-

grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Rowlett; three sons, Billy Joe (Joey) Rowlett, Jr. (Lori), Dennis Eric Rowlett (Ann Marie), and Chad Everett Rowlett; a treasured step-daughter, Juanita Lee Rowlett, who has been a blessing to her and all the family; her brother, Randall Meadows; and sisters, Sandra Estep, Sue Keene, Judy Horn, Patty Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Benny Mitchell, Ted Meadows, and sister, Jean Justus.

Wanda has six grandchildren, BJ Rowlett, Linda Arrington Cofske, Matthew Rowlett (Elaina), Hannah Rowlett Glass (Jackson), Ethan Rowlett, Emily Rowlett; eight great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Arrington, Camden Cofske, Kaden Cofske, Landon Rowlett, Sawyer Rowlett, Grayson Rowlett, Fallyn Grace Rowlett, Atlas Rowlett.

Wanda worked hard all of her life, was a blessing to all that knew her, and will be dearly missed.

Please join the family in celebrating Wanda’s life on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, for visitation from 12:30 P.M. until 2 P.M., with the service following at 2 P.M.. in the chapel.
