Troup struggled against Fayette County in a 51-33 loss on the road on Tuesday.

It was competitive early despite the offensive slump from the Tigers. Troup trailed 11-6 after the first quarter, but the deficit ballooned up to 10 at the break.

Troup was not able to find a way back in the game as the offense continued to struggle in the second half.

The Tigers defense was able to limit what Fayette County was able to do for the most part, but their offense just never caught up to the display they put on the other end of the floor.

Angie Dowdell finished as the team’s highest scorer with 14 points and Alexcia Murphy scored 12 points as the two had to carry the load on offense as others around them struggled to get good looks. Jamia Wortham scored five points and Raygen Godfrey had two to round out the Tigers in the scoring column.

Troup fell to 11-12 overall and 6-7 in region play. The Tigers wraps the regular season on Friday when they host rivals LaGrange.
