LaGrange had no problem blowing past Spalding in both games of a doubleheader on Saturday. 

The opening game lasted just four innings with the Grangers offense springing to life in the fourth to drive the dagger into the game. 

The Grangers got rolling early with three runs in the opening inning, The offense went quiet in the second inning before adding a run in the third. The mighty Grangers bats went supernova in the fourth inning with 11 runs to end the game early.

Robbie Parker had a day to remember as he went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a whopping six RBIs in the game to lead the way for the Grangers. Senior Seth Stargell continued to be a steady hand and went 2-for-2 with three runs scored, two RBIs, two walks, and a stolen base as he stuffed the stat sheet every way he could. The offensive performances were impressive all throughout the lineup with Preston Pressley having a nice showing from the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBis and a run scored. 

It is rare to see senior pitching ace Trevor Booton put in any time at the plate, but he showed what he can offer there by getting a hit and a RBI. 

Caden Wood got the start on the mound and pitched all four innings, limiting the Jaguars to just two hits on three strikeouts. 

The second game was more of the same with the Grangers earning a 13-0 win in a game that lasted 4.5 innings. 

It was a tale of two innings as the Grangers scored seven runs in the first and six in the fourth to complete a two game beatdown of the Jaguars in Granger Park. 

The Grangers rotated their squad and were still able to get the result, showing the depth of the reigning AAAA state runner-ups. Jackson Bozeman was one of those such players and went 1-for-2 with a run scored and two RBIs in the game. 

Stargell took no prisoners once again from the plate and finished this game by going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI. 

Pitcher Trey Cook helped his cause from the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a walk. Despite his stellar offensive performance, he was even more impressive on the mound, combining to pitch a no-hitter with Brandon Bennett. Cook went four innings, striking out four batters while Bennett cleaned it up in the final inning. 

LaGrange has now rattled off three wins in a row to get to 3-1 on the season. The Grangers will be back on the diamond on Tuesday against Northgate as head coach Donnie Branch sits on 599 wins coming into that game at Granger Park.
