Mr. Edward Carlisle, Jr. was born June 14, 1957, to Mrs. Louise Truitt Carlisle and the late Edward Carlisle, Sr. 

He had many nicknames that he was known by his family and friends including: “Meat”, “FooFoo”, “Sweet Meat”, “Cuz”, and “Meat Carlisle”.

Edward united with Threats Grove Baptist Church at an early age where he was on his path as an Usher. He remained an active and devoted member. 

He was employed by West Point Manufacturing’s Dixie Mill until their closing. His next employment was Safa Advics.

We will always remember that his favorite words were “I Know Right!” 

He loved roller skating at an early age and loved detailing cars.

On Monday, Feb. 13, 2023; our beloved Meat Carlisle passed away at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cameo Morris.

His memories will forever be cherished by his children:  Marquite White, Avis White, and Brittany Morris; several grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Louise Carlisle; three siblings:  Linda Jackson, Phoenix, Arizona; Annette Boddie and Rose M. Carlisle, both of LaGrange, Georgia; a very special friend, Greta Porter; special cousin, Betty Dallas; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at 3 P.M. at Threats Grove Baptist Church and will be LIVE Streamed via FaceBook @LakesDunsonRobertson.

The excellent care of Mr. Carlisle is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
