LaGrange Academy launched a capital campaign in January 2022 to raise funds for a new educational building that will allow LaGrange Academy space to grow and comfortably accommodate 400 students. According to a press release from the school, the campaign has a working goal of $5.2 million and a stretch goal of $6 million. Thus far, the school has raised $4.9 million to date, with the help of a matching grant from the Callaway Foundation.

The new educational building, a 20,000-square-foot two-story construction, will create 14 modern classroom spaces, purpose-built administrative offices and an inviting interior courtyard while establishing a commanding visual presence as the new face of the school. 

Along with construction of this new building, additional campaign projects include: (1) a more secure campus with an interior courtyard; (2) media center renovations; (3) founder’s hall renovations; (4) gymnasium improvements; and (5) athletic field improvements.

The Path Forward capital campaign has united the school community and revealed strong support for the vision plan, the press release said. 

“As we strive for excellence, I am enthusiastically looking forward to the partnerships we have with families and supporters that will result in a successful campaign,” said Dr. Brian Dolinger, head of school. “The relationships that we have currently, and the new relationships we will form in the future, will ensure that our students will have the resources, both financial and otherwise, to reach their full potential.  Every gift matters and is an important part of this campaign and the bright future of LaGrange Academy.”

With over 80% of the campaign stretch goal pledged, the school family will honor donors at a celebratory event at 5:30pm on March 23 at Wild Leap Brewery. Those interested in knowing more about the campaign are welcome to attend.

Construction for the new educational building will begin this summer.
