It was a cool yet sunny day on Monday which set up a perfect afternoon to host the Indoor Swing Center Lady Granger Invitational.

Ten teams battled it out at Highlands Country Club with both the Grangers and Troup’s girls golf teams taking part.

Starr’s Mill came with a purpose and dominated the competition with a combined score of 275. The next closest opposition was Upson-Lee who finished second with a score of 286.

The Grangers and Tigers could not find much of a rhythm on the course and finished ninth and tenth respectively.

For the host team, it was Senior Caroline Kersey who led the way with a score of 117. She was the highest individual finisher from the local teams, finishing at 23 out of 48 golfers. Hudson Wood shot a 121. Carlee Roland shot 15. Caroline Brown finished with a total of 127 while fellow freshman Katie Hale shot 132.

The Tigers girls golf team is going through a bit of a rebuilding year. Freshman Chloe Sizemore led the way for the Tigers by shooting a 131. Faith Horton, Eris Whitfield and Madeira Sirmons shot a 132, 133, and 135 respectively. Gracie Brown rounded out the scoring for Troup with a 142.
