Five goals, five goal scorers.

The Callaway boys soccer team spread the love around on offense in an important 5-2 win over Elite Scholars Academy. 

Jayden Bailey has found his scoring boots of late and opened the scoring for the Cavaliers with a goal in the 24th minute. Freshman sensational Rickey Vaughn continues to shine, scoring the Cavaliers second goal on the night in the 33rd minute. 

Callaway got three goals in the second half with senior stalwarts Connor Davis, Nelson Herrera and Eli Jones scoring one each. With Elite Scholars still in the game in the second half, it was up to the Callaway seniors to lead the charge and they were more than up to the task. 

Braydon Morris made six saves to help keep the Cavaliers in the game. Greyson Batchelor also ended the game with an assist. 

Callaway is now 9-5 overall and 3-2 in region play. The Cavaliers currently sit third in the region 5-AA and will likely finish third and earn a playoff spot with just a couple region games left on the schedule. One of those region games will be played out on Thursday at Callaway High against McNair.
