UPDATED: The AMC Theater reopened on March 29.

Ryan Noonan, VP of corporate communications, said the closure was due to issues experienced in the March 26 storm, which caused flooding throughout Troup County.

“The theatre experienced a roof leak last Sunday, which required repairs before we could resume operations,” Noonan said.

The AMC Theater in LaGrange is currently closed.

The theater has not been open since severe weather impacted the area on Sunday.

A message on the AMC website says the following: “We apologize for the inconvenience, but this theatre is temporarily closed for unforeseen maintenance. Please continue to check back here for updates.”

It was unclear when the theater might reopen.

The LaGrange Daily News has reached out to the public relations department at AMC but did not receive an immediate reply via email. Phone calls to the PR number went to voicemail.
