The LaGrange Police Department responded to shots fired in the parking lot of West Georgia Medical Center on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, officers met with several witnesses who said that shots were fired from a gold vehicle, possibly a Honda Accord, toward a white vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic. Both vehicles then quickly left the parking lot and were not located by officers arriving in the area, according to a press release from the LPD.

It was later determined that one round fired during this incident struck a Nissan Pathfinder parked in a lot near the Children’s Clinic with one person, who was uninjured, sitting inside the vehicle. The LPD is asking anyone with information on this incident to call (706) 883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at (706) 812-1000.
