Orien O. Hall II

Orien was born in Sharon, PA to parents Orien O. Hall and Ethel Carr Hall. 

He enlisted in the United States Air Force in October 1963, and proudly served in TX, VA, NE, CA and Georgia. 

After his initial commitment and a short break, he joined the Georgia Air National Guard and retired from Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia in January 1999, with 26 years of service.

He studied in several colleges while serving his country, and completed undergraduate and Masters degrees in graphic design from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. 

He worked for the State of Georgia Technical College System for 20 years, and in retirement, worked part-time for Lone Star College Tomball for 10 years.

Orien was married to Rebecca (Becky) Spencer for 40 years. With this marriage he gained a “bonus” son, William Jeffrey Sherrill of Lilburn, Georgia. 

He had one brother, Terry Hall, of Ashtabula, OH. Orien and Becky lived in Georgia, TX, SC, and finally moved to LaGrange, Georgia in the fall of 2020, and called it “forever home”.

A Memorial Service will be held at The First United Methodist Church of LaGrange, 401 Broad St, LaGrange, Georgia on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Noon with a Reception to follow in Wesley Hall. 

He will be buried with military honors at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
