Mr. Rosby Floyd Meredith passed away Wednesday.

He was born Dec. 21, 1949, to the late Gladys Meredith and Floyd Mitchell.

“Sonny” attended East Depot High School and then entered Job Corps in Wisconsin, where he received his Diploma and Certificate in Welding; and was an employee of Pretty Products for many years in the maintenance department.

Survivors include his children:  Shelton Howard (Lywan), Charlotte, NC; Floyd Meredith (Laura), LaGrange, Georgia; Yadon El Meredith (Barbara), Charlotte, NC; Jasmine Meredith, Atlanta, Georgia; Yashekia Clomase, LaGrange, Georgia; and Marlon (Crystal) Walker, Hamilton, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his siblings:  Glenda Nelson, Union City, Georgia; Racine Smith (Howard), Ypsilanti, MI; Janice Davidson and Jacqueline Hill (Lewis) both of LaGrange, Georgia; his extended family also includes:  Rev. Johnnie Freeman (Willie), Gail J. McCamey, Mina W. McCamey, Charlie D. McCamey,  Rev. Josh McCamey (Pam), and Kenneth A. McCamey, all of LaGrange, Georgia. Sonny had one special friend, Cora Walker, LaGrange, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Service will be Friday at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
