Teen shot during robbery on E. Render Street

LaGrange Police are investigating an incident where a young man was shot during a robbery on E. Render St.

The unnamed 17-year-old victim was shot during an attempted robbery at a residence in the 200 block of E. Render Street around 1 p.m. on Friday.

According to Lt. Mark Cavender of the LaGrange Police Department, the male victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the West Georgia Medical Center for emergency treatment.

The victim was reportedly shot in the arm during the robbery.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money by two armed suspects, who shot him before they fled.

No suspects have been identified for the aggravated assault and robbery.

This incident is still under active investigation by the LaGrange Police Department.
