The Troup boys soccer team saw its season come to an end on Friday, losing 4-0 to powerhouse Benedictine.

The Tigers could not get much going on the road in Savannah, trailing 2-0 at halftime before conceding two more goals in the second half. The last meeting between these two teams saw Troup lose 7-0 in the first round of the playoffs back in 2021.

Benedictine has made at least the quarterfinals in six straight seasons (not including the COVID-19 shortened season) including a run to back-to-back state championships in 2017 and  2018 and the Cadets were too much for Troup on the night.

Troup finished one of the best seasons in program history with a record of 9-4-1.
