Mrs. Florence J. Gooch, 83 of LaGrange, Georgia passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at Emory St. Joseph Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia.

Mrs. Gooch was born September 26, 1939, in Suttle, AL, daughter of the late Fabous Lester and Suzie Moseley Lester. 

She was an active and long standing member of Faith Baptist Church.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eunice Spradlin and two brothers, Elliott Lester and Raymond Lester.

Survivors include her husband, Nedim Gezinci; children, Teressa Pattillo (David), Ronnie Gooch, Mark Gooch (Genie), Neal Gooch (Jennifer), and Susan Bailey (Doug); brother, Glen Lester; grandchildren, Daniel Pattillo (Vicki), Lori Lawrence (Jason), Dusty Pattillo (Lessie), Devin Pattillo (Jeana), Holly King (Matt), Heather Molina (John), Chance Gooch, Alec Gooch (Allison), Dawson Gooch, Hudson Gooch, Jonathan Gooch, Haddon Gooch, Sbusiso Nkosi, Alicia Bilbo (Travis), Amber Hogg (Daniel), and Ashley Hadley (Dalton); 11 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 6:30 P.M. Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church, LaGrange, Georgia with Rev. Donald Yancey officiating.  

The gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday from 5  P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Faith Baptist Church, LaGrange, Georgia or The Antioch Initiative, PO Box 1961, Indian Trail, NC 28079 (Neal and Jennifer Gooch Ministry) in memory of Mrs. Florence J. Gooch.
