On Saturday, comedian Jeff Foxworthy will open Sweetland Amphitheatre’s 2023 concert series.

Brent Gibbs, general manager, said the show is not yet sold out yet but it’s getting close.

“We are down to roughly 140 tickets general admission tickets, so we’re getting really close to a sellout,” Gibbs said. “My suspicion is on the day of the show with the walkup we do, we will sell out if we’re not already sold out before then. We’re super excited and thankful for the community’s response to our opening show.”

Gibbs said so far the Foxworthy show has sold 2,361 tickets — most of which have been bought online.

“We’re beyond excited and thankful the community seems to be responding well to what we’ve offered in the first half. “There’s going to be another round of shows that we’ll announce in the near future and there will be even more shows that will offer something for everyone in the second half of the season,” Gibbs said.

Other upcoming concerts in Sweetland Amphitheatre’s 2023 concert series are Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit (June 22), Tracy Byrd with Jo Dee Messina (July 21) and Tamela Mann (Aug. 5).
